The Colours of Love.

Colours, candy, sweets, blue, red, yellow
                                                                    Take your pick....

Different on the outside but the same within.

Aren't we all a little like those M&M's ....Different  colours on the outside but inside all the same soft peanutty butter filling....or as my dad used to say all made with the same "three and four pence worth of clay".  Each one with a heart that keeps us ticking along life's path.  The outer shell like the M&M is fragile and easily broken by whatever bites into us but put us all together then we are strong, happy little M&M's.

                                                            Different shapes and SiZeS..

Long, short, round, flat, all shapes and sizes, but each one delicious.... Some sweet, some made a little sour by "additions", some hard, some soft yet each one tickling the taste buds.  Isn't that just what we are like too, all different! Imagine being in a big bowl with over 7,000 M&M's, Twizzlers, and  Liquorice All Sorts....  Delightful!!  And so It was!

At first it was hard to focus,  to see the beauty, the emotion, and the love......

Seeing the trees
....
it seemed that the trees were blocking the view.....
~ like tears can blind your eyes ~

So many leaves, so many tears..
But then when you focus......

you see the view....... looking into the distance.

ah yes a hope and a future out there beyond the mountains....

So after spending three days with a mixed bag of  7,332 M&M's, Twizzlers, and Liquorice All Sorts and a combined total of 149,174 (tied in from Twickenham and across Britain) all of the same mixture "three and fourpence worth of clay"  I am happy to say that I love and cherish every one of those beautiful colours of  ♥LOVE

Bitter Sweet

Memories and moments can be bitter sweet, sometimes without prompting or planning something happens that leaves you lost for words.  This happened to me this very day last week.  A group of friends and I were having a coffee break in Tuam and the usual "loo break" after a morning well spent in the outdoors.

                                                                   RĂ²ise's drawings

I was chatting to a very dear friend in the hallway outside the ladies rest room (as they say in the US) when her little 3 and a half year old granddaughter came out of the loo her hands all wet after she had washed them but the paper towels were too high up for her to reach. She came over and with her little wet hand caught my hand and looked right up at me and with the biggest smile imaginable said "hello Sonja.... It's lovely that your here with us Sonja"

                                                        Sonja's garden planted by Alisha

......  I cannot describe the feeling that went right through me but instantly tears flooded my eyes and the eyes of her Gran.   We looked at each other in silence then her grandmother said.... "That's not Sonja, that's Sonja's mammy" .  Her little face dropped and she became terribly embarrassed and hid behind her gran.    For a moment, just a brief moment ...... Yes...

Thank you Sienna while it broke my heart it made my day.... Yes....Bitter Sweet the Memory!

Begin or forget it...

So here we go!

Blogging was not on my "to do" list, no, I really wanted to write poetry and a few short stories but to be honest because I love an interchange of comments and a bit of fun I think maybe blogging might open up new horizons to share some "bits and pieces" of news, views and trivia I have gathered over the years.
