So here we go!
Blogging was not on my "to do" list, no, I really wanted to write poetry and a few short stories but to be honest because I love an interchange of comments and a bit of fun I think maybe blogging might open up new horizons to share some "bits and pieces" of news, views and trivia I have gathered over the years.

My name is Heather or even "MaryKate" sometimes if I'm creating something, and I live on the beautiful West Coast of Ireland on the shores of Galway Bay.. I love all things crafty and arty and probably spend far too much time doing stuff I love but I guess I did the "housey" stuff thing for long enough ... Well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it..... :-)
I'm a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and I hope a friend to many. I have many friends who are a tower of strength to me and who encourage me every day. I hope this little blog will both amuse, entertain and enlighten you as I write from the heart which they say is the seat of motivation! I hope to share lots of things with you and I will make it as varied and interesting as I possibly can, if you have thoughts or observations on anything I write feel free to comment.
